i thought intake of cholestrol is the contributing factor and
never knew genetic is invoived ?
my 25year friend who is slim and active (she called her
sexy
), love meat,
and dislike vege (she avoided vege if she can).. she got this habit
of jeering at those who are of "fatter" (irregardless of
age). One fine day, her entire office required to go for
health screening. Guess what, result came back: Doc told her
that she is on high cholestrol level and need long term
medication. She was outraged and screamed "unfair" as the
rest of her colleagues (even the fatter ones) has okay cholestrol
level. She is only UNHEALTHY ONE in the office.
on the other hand, about 15 years, i had this 23 years old promo
lady who worked for me, she is of 160m height and weighs about
58kg, arms are of mine 2x (isnt it a sign), she often compared with
me (I was 58kg too), she said : you are fat, i am voluptuous" she
points at her shirt, she is always wear 1/2 balls tops..."men are
visual, they noticed these and my sweet girly character, before
they noticed my actual size.." erhem.. quite true..
genetic disposition AND lifestyle factors both play a part. you
can actually eat really unhealthily and still stay in great
shape(on the outside) as long as you don't overeat your daily
caloric limit. if she adjusts her diet her cholesterol will go back
down and she doesn't need to stay on the statins. I know lots of
people who went off the medication sucessfully by changing what
they eat.
